Apparently we didn't pick this guy soon enough. :) (That's a full size watermelon behind it for size comparison.)

The Shed

Jason built this shed this past weekend, with some help from our friend, Robert (pictured below).


Since these pictures were taken, the roof was completed and shingled, and Jason put up trim. I'll put up more pictures after it's done (painted, etc). They did a NICE job!

More Veggies!

Zucchini and eggplant:


Dinner one night: roasted potatoes and steamed zucchini from the garden. (Jason also had chicken wings, which were not from the garden!)

Garden

We haven't posted any pictures of the garden yet, so since I thought I'd upload a few while I'm home sick again (I actually called in "dying" this morning, but I'm feeling a lot better this afternoon...maybe I'm past the worst of it finally).

Here's a front view:


From left to right (approximately), we have bell peppers, eggplant, potatoes, tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, and cucumbers. There are onions hiding behind the potato plants, but the picture I have of those is really dark. They're looking good this year, though!

And here is our first few jars of pickles from our cucumbers. Jason has talked a lot about stuffing cucumbers into jars with his dad, so I'm excited to make them with him this year.


We've harvested a few potatoes and zucchini as well (and by "we" I mean Jason by himself...hopefully now that my projects are done I can participate a little more!). I can't wait until the eggplant and bell peppers start producing!
