Real Life Nintendo

Yesterday I was riding my bike to class, once again trying to avoid collisions with bicyclists going the wrong way down the street, people walking (and/or stopping) aimlessly in bike lanes, etc, when I noticed a skateboarder riding down the middle of the road towards me. Suddenly, this thought hit me: "Holy, cow! I'm in Paperboy!" My suspicions were confirmed a few moments later when a college kid walked into the street from behind a dumpster right in front of me with earphones in, making it impossible to see OR hear whatever might run him over.

If you never had the pleasure of playing that game from Nintendo (the ORIGINAL one), below is a commercial for it so you can get the idea. That game was good practice for my future life as a grad student, seriously. Except the paperboy in the game didn't wear a helmet, just a backwards hat.
