Sydney and Friend

On Tuesday we got Sydney fixed. She was so sad when she came home. She just stood around staring at the floor. This is the same look she gets when it's raining outside. She never goes in her dog house - just stands out there staring at the ground, getting soaked.

Thankfully, she has a new friend to keep her company and cheer her up! This is Diamond, the dog from next door.

She comes through a hole in the fence almost every day to visit and share Sydney's food, but Sydney can't fit through the hole to get out. They get along great, so it actually works out really well for us.

Mom and Jason

Last weekend my mom came to visit. Here she is with Jason on our "new" loveseat. (We got it on Craigslist and it's currently partially covered by a sheet until we can find a slipcover that matches the futon or our chair. Decorating is hard work.)

It's Been A While...

Just thought I'd leave a quick post to let all our avid readers (I know there are SO many of you) that we're still alive. It's been a little busy with grad school and work and ministry and marriage, so I haven't posted in a while. This week I worked late a few nights, went to Austin for work training, met with my advisor to plan the rest of my life (not really), and worked on final preparations for our organization's annual fundraiser dinner and silent auction (which was held last night). Jason got to go to the dinner with me, though, so at least we got to see each other before dark thirty. :) This morning I have a meeting with another professor about papers I'm supposed to be writing and then work again and Friday Bible Study tonight. That's not meant to be taken as complaining...just an excuse for a month of no writing. And I think I also should publicly (well...almost publicly) acknowledge how wonderful and supportive Jason is and how blessed I am to have him. He even (voluntarilly) did all the laundry and put the clothes away before I got home from class on Monday(he even hung my shirts facing the same direction, which I'm pretty particular about).

Time for another meeting...gotta run.
